Emmanuel Church over 50s is a ministry that is going about 2 years, we meet the last Wednesday in every month, at 12 noon until 2:00pm in the church.
Usually we have a lunch and a bit of craic. Then we usually have someone speak, trying our best not to have a too formal meeting but, but rather informal. For instance we have had the Police come and speak about home security, and they speak and we ask questions. We have had the Fire Brigade come and speak about home safety. We have had a member of St. John’s Ambulance come and speak about first aid and their role in the community. Other times we have had people being interviewed and some gave their testimony about how the Lord saved them.
We have around 30 plus people coming every last Wednesday. It is interesting that we adopted the Emmanuel Church 10:14 Team as our mission and we have a free will offering to help them in their work.
But mainly we do not charge for the lunch, and all the people that come enjoy the craic. For further information see Tommie McCracken
